Another devastation in a tram in Szczecin. They "scalped" eight backrests and two seats
In less than a minute, two people cut out the upholstery from eight backrests and two seats of tram line no. 6 in Szczecin.
The incident occurred on April 26 this year at approx. 4:50 p.m. at the Gocław loop, in the second carriage of the train, out of sight of the driver. Tramwaje Szczecińskie has now reported it.
- The surgical activity of the woman and the middle-aged man was captured by the monitoring installed inside the tram - says Wojciech Jachim, spokesman for Tramwaje Szczecińskie. - They both got on the number six much earlier and waited for the moment when the carriage was completely empty. At the loop in Gocław, without the embarrassment of open doors, they quickly "scalped" eight backrests and two seats. It took them less than a minute. They put the stolen upholstery in a bag and got out. The cutouts cover almost the entire surface of the backrests and seats, they have a regular rectangular shape, as if the perpetrators wanted to obtain as much material as possible. The question is, for what purpose?
Tramwaje Szczecińskie estimated the damage at PLN 5,000 and asked the police to identify the perpetrators. The investigation is being conducted by the Police Department in Szczecin nad Odrą. (K)
